“Can I have a go on the drums?”

Through your child’s eyes

“Can we get the song ready for the gig?”

What your child does here: Try instruments, rehearse a song, play together – and one day step on stage.

The real thing at the end:

A song that gets properly loud.

Through your eyes

What’s behind it

In the planned kids’ band programme your child tries instruments and plays in a band with other children.

Along the way, your child practises:

  • Rhythm
  • Teamwork
  • Being brave

Instead of just listening: A band only sounds right when everyone listens to each other – and you can hear it straight away.

  • Planned
  • Membership: not yet decided
  • Ages: to be decided

How it might look at different ages

Examples for orientation – not age limits. Who for? Age limits are still to be decided.

  1. Ages 3–5

Drums, shakes and sings in a circle – loud and soft.

Along the way, your child practises: Rhythm, listening, starting together

  2. Ages 6–8

Tries drums, bass and keys and picks a favourite.

Along the way, your child practises: Practising, listening, daring to try

  3. Ages 9–12

Rehearses a song with the kids’ band until it’s ready for a small gig.

Along the way, your child practises: Playing as a team, sticking with it, performing

    • Rehearse with other kids as a band.
    • Play one song together, right to the end.

We’ll say who leads this as soon as it’s settled.

Try it

Build a beat.

Press play and tap pads to change the beat. You turn the sound on yourself.

This is what the experiment looks like. You can try it with JavaScript – and later on, for real, with us.

A beat grid with four instruments and eight steps, filled with the Fitty Groove.

In band practice your child plays it on a real drum kit.

Questions and answers

Who leads the classes?
We’re settling that right now. We’ll introduce course leaders and their qualifications once they’re confirmed – no names before that.
My child is on the quiet side or not very sporty.
Besides Halle Laut, calmer activities are planned – the studio, music, the lab or kids’ yoga. On the waiting list you can tell us what interests your child.
What ages is TRALLAFITTY for?
Age limits for the individual activities are still being decided. The optional age band on the waiting list helps us plan – it isn’t an admission promise.
